目黒鹿鳴館 (Meguro Rokumeikan, often spelled as Rockmaykan) is a live house located in Meguro, Tokyo. Despite being just a really small concert hall, it is a popular venue in the visual kei scene for hosting the very first concerts and events of nowadays legendary bands like X JAPAN, LUNA SEA and MALICE MIZER.
The name 鹿鳴館 (Rokumeikan, Deer-cry Hall) comes from the famous palace built near the Tokyo Imperial Palace in the Meiji period to accomodate prestigious guests and host parties and balls.
